Autumn in minwear woods, Pembrokeshire
Autumn in minwear woods, Pembrokeshire

Although we don't have huge amounts of woodland in Pembrokeshire; those areas we do have are beautiful examples. This is Minwear woods, not far from Haverfordwest.

Carningli, above Newport, Pembrokeshire
Carningli, above Newport, Pembrokeshire

The view from Carningli in heather season. Carningli is part of the Preseli hills and stands above the town of Newport. With great views from the top over Newport bay and Dinas Island. In the autumn the heather creates a beautiful purple blanket around the lichen covered rocks. Fans of the books of Brian John will recognise Carningli as Angel Mountain from the series of books http://www.angel-mountain.info/

Haybales under the stars, Pembrokeshire
Haybales under the stars, Pembrokeshire

Pembrokeshire has great potential for stargazing due to the lack of light pollution. http://www.visitpembrokeshire.com/explore-pembrokeshire/gazing-at-the-stars/ Here, on a starlit night, haybales provide foreground with a shooting star/meteor for good measure.
